My Story
I’m here to motivate clients to
Meet, Exceed & Sustain
fitness goals relative to their unique challenges
First of all, thank you for visiting my website! My name is Pierre Plante, based out of Ottawa, ON, Canada and I’ve resided in the Ottawa area for over 50 years.

As a former University Varsity football player, marathoner, 2019 Mont-Tremblant IronMan finisher, and Cancer survivor, I understand the challenges, expectations, trials, and tribulations associated with maintaining a healthy lifestyle “Day In – Day Out” so here’s my story.
As a young child, I maximized every opportunity to play outdoors. I grew up playing a variety of competitive team sports and never ceased playing. I’m now a little older, the times may have changed, so have the intensity levels, but the enjoyment for keeping active is still there, and my goal is to help people of all ages, continue to be active while nurturing a healthy vibrant lifestyle.

Day Out

It’s even more important today, as we age, to prioritize, nurture and secure a life balance to remain vibrant and healthy not only for ourselves but for the ones we love, and who love us. Maintaining a healthy approach to life is a great first step, and I can help.
I graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree, and have a Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology – Certified Personal Trainer Certification. I have completed multiple marathons, played competitive sports my whole life, and while studying at the University of Ottawa I played football for the University of Ottawa Gee-Gee’s from 1986 to 1990. In 1989 I was voted to the O.Q.I.F.C. All-Star team and voted to the 2nd Team, All-Canadian Status.

Where the mind goes, everything follows
''
After University, I began a 20 year Amateur Football Coaching journey at a variety of levels, continued to play a variety of team and individual sports, and since 2002 completed 6 Marathons. In 2017, I ran my first 1/2 IronMan (70.3 miles) event, and then I completed an IronMan (140.6 miles) in Mont-Tremblant back on August 18, 2019. I returned to Mont-Tremblant in 2022 and completed my 2nd Ironman 30 minutes faster than my 2019 time! It was an achievement I will never forget. Although 3 months after completing the IronMan, I was diagnosed with Invasive Adenocarcinoma, Colon Cancer and my life changed in every way possible. After two surgeries in 2020, and taking 2021 to recover, I’m happy to say, life truly continues, and after having had my mortality challenged, I’m truly thankful to see the sunrise every morning and everything I experience after that moment, is a continued blessing.
Remember, where the mind goes, everything follows and my promise to you is that I will walk with you, shoulder to shoulder throughout your journey, to ensure your goals are met with the proper levels of patience, support, guidance and professionalism. I am truly looking forward to the opportunity of better understanding your needs and fitness goals so please do not hesitate to reach out to me as per your earliest availability.
To continued health and success,
